Important Policies for Your Care

At The Women’s Group of Northwestern, we strive to ensure that your experience with us is seamless and satisfactory. Understanding our policies is essential to fostering a positive relationship and ensuring clarity in your care. This page outlines important information regarding appointment scheduling, billing, insurance coverage, prescription refills, and surgery procedures. We encourage you to review these policies carefully, and our team is always available to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. Thank you for choosing us as your trusted healthcare providers!

  • We understand that sometimes plans change. However, to accommodate all our patients, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel your appointment. Appointments not canceled within this time frame will be subject to a fee. If you need to cancel after hours, please call our office at (312) 440-3810 and leave a voice message.

  • When you request surgery scheduling, we make several financial and time commitments, including:

    • Reserving the operating room

    • Ordering and paying for necessary surgical supplies

    • Securing specialized surgical nurses and technicians

    • Arranging anesthesia coverage

    • Preparing and sterilizing required equipment and instruments

Because we must turn down other patients who wish to schedule surgery at the same time, we ask that you be certain about your desire for surgery and your ability to make the financial commitment involved.

If you need to cancel your surgery within 7 days of the scheduled date, a cancellation fee of $250 or $500.00 will apply depending on your surgery location will apply.

  • All obstetric patients are required to pay an OB Deposit after their New OB Visit has been completed. The OB Coordinator will contact you with your individualized quote. Once the quote has been provided to you, patients have 5 business days to pay the quote in full or be placed on a payment plan.

  • At our practice, prescriptions are typically filled during your annual visits for a duration of one year. If you require a prescription refill, please have your pharmacy contact us via eScribe. Alternatively, you can request a refill through our Patient Portal. Make sure to have your prescription and pharmacy information available when requesting refills online.

Please note that prescription refills requested outside of an annual visit will incur a $20 service fee.

Routine prescriptions are not considered an emergency.
